“Did you ever threaten Diana?”
“No.”
“Before yesterday?”
“No.”
“Did you ever use your office to access Laura’s crash file after it closed?”
I looked at her.
“No.”
Then:
“I wanted to.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Because I knew I shouldn’t.”
Morgan nodded.
My suspension remained.
The slap mattered.
It did not become acceptable because Diana was worse.
I told Morgan:
