Chapter 14 - JASON’S EVALUATIONJason's evaluator asked why he planned the confrontation.

He initially denied.

Then documents made denial impossible.

He said:

“I needed people to see what Rachel is like under pressure.”

Evaluator asked:

“Why create pressure?”

Jason said nothing.

Then:

“Because nobody believed me.”

“Believed what?”

“That she was angry.”

All people get angry.

“Dangerous?”

Jason hesitated.

“No.”

There.

He did not actually believe I was dangerous before Sunday.

He wanted evidence of a claim he had not believed himself.

The evaluator's report was damaging.

Not because it called him evil.

It didn't.

It said he displayed manipulative conflict behavior, poor boundaries with his mother, and willingness to involve child/family in marital strategy.

It also said he loved Owen and could parent appropriately when separated from adult conflict.

Complex.

Custody would not become permanent ban.

I didn't want that.

Owen loved his father.
