Chapter 10 - The Sovereign Queen

Spring turned to late summer, and the garden at the River Oaks estate was in full bloom. White roses, jasmine, and purple lavender filled the warm evening air with a sweet scent.

A grand anniversary dinner was being held on the estate's sprawling lawn. Crystal chandeliers hung from the branches of ancient oak trees, illuminating tables adorned with fine linen, glowing candles, and laughter. Victor Cross, who had restored his business and maintained a deep, respectful friendship with Claire, was in attendance, along with Noelle, Andrew, and several prominent civic leaders.

At the center of the celebration stood Claire, wearing an elegant emerald green dress that complemented her glowing skin. Beside her, Julian raised a glass, capturing the attention of all the guests.

"To my brilliant, fierce, and loving wife, Claire," Julian announced, his voice filled with deep devotion. "Two years ago, people thought they could take away your home, your dignity, and your joy. But they didn't realize that your home wasn't made of bricks and stone. Your home is built on your strength, your grace, and your unbreakable spirit."

The guests cheered and raised their glasses, the applause echoing across the estate.

Claire smiled, stepping forward to thank her guests. As she held Julian’s hand, she felt a soft, gentle nudge from within her body—a tiny, unmistakable movement.

She looked down at her stomach, where a subtle curve was beginning to show beneath her emerald dress. She rested her hand over it, a tears of pure, unadulterated joy welling in her eyes.

The doctors who had told her seven years ago that she was "barren" had been wrong. It wasn't her body that had failed—it had been the stress, the toxicity, and the emotional abuse of a marriage built on lies. In a life filled with real love, peace, and truth, her body had healed naturally.

Julian looked down at her, seeing her hand on her belly, his eyes wide with emotional revelation. "Claire...?"

Claire looked up into her husband's eyes, nodding with a soft, radiant smile. "We're going to be parents, Julian."

Julian swept her into his arms, lifting her gently as tears of happiness spilled down his cheeks. The guests gasped in delight, breaking into a resounding round of applause and joyful cheers.

As the music played late into the night under the starry Texas sky, Claire stood at the edge of the terrace, looking out over her home, her family, and her future.

She had walked through the storm, broken the chains of deceit, and claimed her rightful throne—not just as the President of an empire, but as the sovereign queen of her own life.
